Here’s a better look at the rod he made for me.

I’ve been using this rod that Brian Barde made for me. I just did a one rod challenge for my Tv show using it. I know I talk a lot about having the right gear on here. It’s true that you get better results with technique specific rods. It’s also true that you don’t need every rod skew on the market to have a good time on the water. I used this one rod for 3 different techniques! I caught and landed bass on all 3 techniques.

Brian always talks about fishing for other species to spice it up! What’s the craziest fish you caught on a wacky rig while fishing for bass? Caught this beauty in Newport News, VA. 

It was definitely an eye opener after watching Brian’s series on fishing laydowns. I have fished them a certain way my whole life and tried out two new techniques he explained thought the series. Wow did it pay off! Take the time and watch them.

Throwback to this giant wish we had a scale!

I was able to get out fishing today in my friend’s boat on man made lake. We found lots of baits and started out catching small bass. Then I tied on a KVD 6inch sexy spoon and the bass there fish were biting. Midday of a  bright sunny day in 10-25 feet of water. Biggest fish was 3.46lbs.
