Hello everyone. I haven’t been here much lately sorry fam. I have been working and when I’m not I’m in the booth. I have a question for everyone how often do you see split rings fail/ break? I have never seen it yet and was wondering how or why that they could. I read about it but have not had it happen to me. I’m learning a lot more about each component that makes up these baits lures that we use and create. Bryan Key got me started on making crankbaits out of cedar. From a older bait he used to fish but are hard to find today. Which is really cool I can’t wait to get some of those pictures up to share. Any information is appreciated about rings or any other terminal parts we use. Finishing up Barde and Devon’s baits today and tomorrow hopefully so I can get them to them before the 24th. Mack the order cleared customs this morning I think it is in Ga so hopefully Monday it’s here sorry for the delay. Tyson happy late b-day I haven’t heard back from you. Hollar at me sir. Jealous of all the fish catches. Keep getting them! Thanks

Didn’t catch any fish today, just caught myself on a treble hook… ouch. Had two of the three in the bottom of my palm under my thumb. Should I frame it the lure? It’s never being used again lol.

This is probably a stupid question, but being a kayak guy we use our ketchboard.. Well, I'll be a co-angler in the August 1st "John Wilson" benefit tournament on lanier...

Question; Tony Collum is my boater... Do we combine our bass to get our biggest 5, or does he catch 5 and i catch 5 and we weigh in separately? Again, sorry for the dumb question. I'm a bass boat newbie, but an avid kayak angler.!

Beautiful morning in Central Florida, No fishing for me this week sadly as I am caring for my mother in law. But I snuck out to Toho Marina for Breakfast, while eating I went live on youtube on the boat ramp. May do the same in the morning but going to take a rod with me and play around the docks before I have to be home. Beautuful morning to catch a 6.5 pounder, What say you Ray B.

This week I had the opportunity to fish with my SUF buddy Brian Barde at the St Lawrence River before a BFL tournament. Boy, was it a fishing adventure. We had a great time chatting, fishing, great food and experiencing the nature around us. We won before the tournament ever started!

Because of the SUF experience and Blat’s leadership we entered the tournament with a relaxed calm. 80 boats and co-anglers appeared the morning of the tournament. Weather was beautiful and the watery was fishing well. We didn’t know that morning what our final tournament results would be but we were in the zone. Things worked out for both of us with Barde finishing 10th and I finished 9th of the co-angler side

Barde mentioned the word “ Flow” in our fishing this week. One definition of flow “refers to the smooth continuity of ideas and a psychological state of deep focus. That was it!

We didn’t just show up today, this has been a steady process with ups and downs. It has been a continuous learning process of building block after block from SUF school education, member support and our on the water experiences. We also cannot forget the sacrifices of our loved ones that allow us to have these experiences that create such awesome memories.

I feel thankful and blessed.
