Let’s do a friendly competition. I want to do a lake breakdown again on SUNDAY. Anyone want to have lake up for the “breakdown” process just submitt this one thing here on this post.
Tell us your FAVORITE/BEST fishing memory. Let us know why it’s your favorite and what happened that day.
I’ll share mine: I have several but one of my favorite memories was fishing a tournament with my son in April during Covid. We smashed them on Topwater all day. He got to see what it’s like when the post spawn topwater deal is going on.
Here’s the link from that day when we fished together. https://youtu.be/FfgXcfY7lNE?si=7QBHeHmEFeNXwlv0
Let’s hear yours

My best memory is when I was 6-7 years old. We were coming home from my grandmothers lake lot. We didn’t have a boat, but went to the boat ramp that was on the way home. Dad threw a chartreuse spinner bait with a gold blade around, and hooked a 5lb’er by the dock. He let me reel it in and claim it. We mounted that fish and my nephew still has it hung up in his room. I still have that old all star rod/abu Garcia combo he used that afternoon. I joined hoping to learn to fish that I could replicate that memory with my twin girls.
Lake Request- Lake Eufaula (Southeast AL/Southwest GA)
Last year me and my 13yr old son spent 2 days on the California delta . Not only did we catch a ton of fish but we had a blast exploring sunken ships and dodging sea lions but it was awesome just hanging out .
When my oldest caught her first bass. We've fished together many times over the years but this was the first time she had the patience to use the bait as designed and it paid off. After this she put the worms away. All she wanted to do was catch more bass...

One of my most memorable recent fishing trips was last May to Norris Lake. One of the major reasons was this was my wife’s first real trip bass fishing and she is now hooked. We caught around 30 small mouth that weekend.

I just retired from coaching fb and track at the hs level 37 years- my life was family and coaching. When I retired a friend of mine said let’s go fishing -he took me to a old strip mine -we had to sneak in -started fishing -caught fish almost every cast bass mostly-snuck farther down on the bank where it was shallow waded in and on a 110 jerkbait caught big crappie on almost every cast as well-what a trip -we went back numerous times but eventually got caught- then they filled in the quarry-what a shame-fast forward 12 years and on my 3rd bass boat skeeter 19 z r -so much money since then still having fun -now live 5min from lake chickamauga
My favorite memory is when my dad won a BFL as a Co-angler at Sam Rayburn. The tournament before the one he won, I had placed 4th place as a Co-angler. When asked by the Tournament director “How did you do it?” He grabbed the mic and said “Last tournament my son got 4th place, so I had to show him how it is done and win… I was throwing a flashy swimmer with a swimbait on it.” Everyone laughed including me! I have so many great memories but this is one of my favorites! Seeing close friends or family succeed in fishing is something that makes me happy! Almost as happy as winning! lol
I would love to see a lake breakdown of Lake Tawakoni. It’s notorious for being won shallow. The lake has a high population of striper and Catfish. So most the bass go up shallow. 1-8ft

I usually share photos of special moments with my kids, but for this challenge, I wanted to change it up. This is one of my favorite moments in my marriage—my wife fishing on her father’s lake, completely in her element. There’s something raw and real about watching the person you love so at peace. Life can be chaotic, but it’s moments like these that ground us and remind me why I fell in love with her all over again.

My favorite fishing memory is the only fishing memory I can recall with my grandfather. We were just trolling along... dad in the front, Pawpaw in the back, and I was in the middle of a 16' Tracker. All of a sudden I got a bite and lean into the fish, a few seconds later this giant bass leaps out of the water (it may have only been 3 pounds, but giant is way more interesting)! She ended up throwing my hook, but that memory with that bass, my papaw and father is burned into my head.
I know it's lame compared to some of yalls, but it's what I've got :)
My best memories are with my Dad. We had the opportunity to fish Great Slave Lake in NW territories for lake trout. I fish to this day with great memories and that he exposed me to fishing. Today I fish mainly lake Lanier but will venture out on more road trips this year.

Fishing guntersville in the kbf knuklhead open.. placing 2nd out of 82 anglers.. realizing you can compete with any professional on any given day.. meeting some important YouTube stars and realizing how down to earth people really are .. I honestly figured most people would be a-holes but they weren’t
