Me and my son went bank fishing yesterday at a lake on a friends property. Really nice lake! We started off with spinner because that’s my norm. Not a single bite. Then we tried a Rapala minnow lure that the owner of the lake told us to try. Again, nothing. I decided to try the most natural thing I had in my bag, a speed worm junebug red. First cast a bass ate it on the drop! It seem that the bass did not want to chase! Once the worm got their attention we just let it sit for a minute before we moved it again. We caught 10 bass using that technique with the same worm. It was my sons first time bass fishing from the bank. He really enjoyed it! The weather was perfect and the fish did not disappoint. I will share a few video clips once I edit them down.
