Hey guys. I'm doing a "new fisherman's" workshop next week in the app. I know many of you are experienced fishermen. I'd love to have you share some of your recommendations, findings and favorite things about fishing during the workshop. You can post here in the app or contribute on the the live classes as well. What you recommend DOES NOT HAVE TO LINE UP WITH WHAT I SAY. Fishing is very subjective to area and personal preference and it's all valid and valuable information.
I have a silly question... When we post our catches in the facebook group page, should we also post them in the SUF app? And vice-versa? I'd hate for anyone to miss something I post in one and not the other..🤣
Need some advice for stopping the backlash. I have a curado dc 150hg spooled with 15lbs goro floro for jerkbait fishing. I have the dial set to 4 and I have the spool tension non set to moderate I’d say. Letting the lure free fall and all seems fine but go and make a light cast like Brian said in some of his videos and the thing starts getting backlash. Only thing I can think of is I spooled the line on the wrong direction as it came off the spool but I’m not sure. Hate to waste a fresh spool of line unless there’s any way to fix it?

I need some expert advice. This afternoon I went to try out my new BLat Series 6.8 rod. My Baitcaster with 30# braid on it, and it casts really well with that rod. So this little lake, called Lake Reba is only about 75 acres and NO ONE is on it, except some guys on this long pier type thing (catfish I think). While casting, I kept pulling thru a bunch of green stuff... See pic. There is also an island and a section covered in lily pads. So I'm excited to try my hand at this. The only bait I had with me was a chatterbait. I could pull through it but constantly having to clear my hook. How would you fish this stuff? I was trying the BLat advice "throw what no o ne else is throwing". 😆
I want to fish it because I did get a bite, and saw the fish. It's also stocked with large mouth
