The Illusion of the Fall Transition

Brian takes on one of fishing's most repeated ideas: that bass make a fall transition into the creeks. He says he may even have old videos out there talking about fall transitions himself, but long story short, it's all fake. Unless you live in the extreme northeast, maybe the northwest, where lakes freeze over, fish the Great Lakes, or fish somewhere the temperatures and seasons swing dramatically, he bets your bass don't really have a fall transition. Generally speaking, they stay where they spawn: creek bass stay in the creek and lake bass stay on the main lake.He explains what he does and does not mean by that, using lake maps to show how far a main lake bass really roams, and why short pockets off the main river are different from a real creek. Then he breaks down the illusion of a transition: why the spawn and stained water put creek fish in reach in spring, why they seem to vanish in summer when they are out in the middle of the creek, and how fall rain, shorter days, high or low water and forage spawns make them easier to catch again. He finishes with viewer questions on spotted bass and largemouth, and on a lake down 12 feet in a drought.

This is quite honestly the most important video you can listen to to catch more bass right now.
