I’m struggling hard to catch fish.

I can’t tell if its just the summer paired with the bodies of water I have available or what, but I just can’t seem to get on the fish. I’m throwing everything you can think of. I catch one here and there on a frog, a wacky, spinner baits, flipping jigs, you name it I’ll catch one on it…. But I’ll go out for 5 hours and catch one fish.

I’m fishing rivers. The confluence of the Neuse and Trent near New Bern, NC. Any advice appreciated.

I’m filming a new podcast answering your questions submitted in the ask BLAT section of the app today. It’s live so you can chat with me as we talk.

One of the best ones submitted was “how to navigate a lock”. Tune in during your lunch break if you can.

Fishing the Neuse/Trent rivers here in NC. Just cant seem to find anything larger than these dinks. Lots of frogging and flipping pads. Need to find deeper water, surface temp was 88° yesterday. Fished a couple 15-25 foot holes with a big worm, one little tap but no fish.
