More depends on where are the fish? Can you give me more context? Do you have a map screenshot of where this was? What bait are you fishing ? Wind factors? Clarity? Depth?

It can certainly cause line failure at times. The ice is hard on the line. Oil can become to “viscous “ thick and make bait casters too hard to cast.

Every battery I’ve ever replaced has been because of cold. Lithium battery can’t be charged.

Boat freezes to the trailer

Lids including livewells can be shut frozen.

Livewell pumps can freeze
