I’ve heard big water marina is good! I fished Russel this week with SUF members. They both fish alike. You should catch some fish there.

I think I’ve had all the v-6 models since 85 to the current V-8 so I’ve seen it all.

I’d be looking for any kind of rock I can find to crank. Believe it or not …. I like the shallower docks in the winter as well.

Let's be honest..... we all like the catching part! it certainly gets boring sometimes. Plan short trips. I usually go in the evening for that very reason. When it's dark we go home. Ned, floating worm, wacky, small swimbaits are all good lures that you really can't mess up. I have a 5'6" I started my son off with but if she's 8 I wouldn't buy anything that you don't already use. 6'6" spinning rod should be perfect.
