NO I really haven't seen any affect due to water clarity. the only problem is wind. wind makes the image blurry because the boat moves so much.

Not really. In fact spotted bass tend to spread out and follow the one you caught and make it more difficult to catch more fish. Largemouth and spotted bass are very different in that matter.

Is this where I had them in the trolling motor pedal? they don't blow away like that!

in the spring bass love to suspend over the top of the grass (hydrilla, coontail, eel grass or whatever. use it weightless or with a keel weight. work it slow. I'd probably use a watermelon or a greenpumkin. Possibly even a chartreuse if the water is clear.
