I filmed a workshop here in Florida about fishing grass this week! Headed home today. I’ll be catching up on all the community questions first of the week. Where are y’all fishing this weekend?

This week I’m here in Florida filming some stuff for the school. I didn’t get a chance to work on the Q and A but I will tonight. You can still submit a question here.

In the q&a I gave a little bit of insight on what's going on with my signature rods from Favorite and where that's going moving forward.

Are You Using This Knot When Frog Fishing?

On the live class Monday we talked about frog fishing quite a bit. One of the things that mentioned wast that all frogs aren't created equal. Some really are better than others for certain scenarios. I thought I'd give a gear list of my favorite frogs with links that you can view or buy them at.Jakal Iobee - Best for finesse open water frogging. https://www.tackledirect.com/jackall-topwater-iobee-frog-lures.htmlSpro Bronze eye - Best all around frog. If I had to live with one it would probably be this one.https://www.omniafishing.com/p/spro-bronzeye-shad-65?fishing_reports_sort=true&fishing_reports_waterbodyBobby's perfect frog - I have nothing to say but if bobby says it's good and he designed it must be good. I haven't used this one a bunch. https://www.omniafishing.com/p/snag-proof-bobbys-perfect-frog?fishing_reports_sort=true&fishing_reports_waterbodyTerminator Poppin frog - Good soft popping frog. Best in open water. Poppin is tougher to use around pads https://www.omniafishing.com/p/terminator-popping-frog?fishing_reports_sort=true&fishing_reports_waterbodyDeps buster K - DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS FROG! LOOKS CRAZY BUT WORKS. Hook ups and easier to walk with the hair tails. It has a very unique actionUse any of this braided line- I haven't really come across any braided line that I feel won't work for frogging just yet.https://www.omniafishing.com/c/lines/braid-superlineRods- Casting Open water frogging ( not heavy cover) 7-2" MH Fast- Casting Heavy cover - 7-3" or larger Heavy FastUse any of these rods that fit that description on taper and sizehttps://www.omniafishing.com/c/rods/casting-rodsVideos you can watch to help you learn how to catch bass on a frogSummertime frog fishing - (Open Water) https://youtu.be/jG3bWJlfTz0?si=OpviyDxvw--8XDHMFrog Fishing Heavy Cover -https://youtu.be/bMY8dqDAv34?si=NI0Js_NXXwQzxseiHow to fish a hollow belly froghttps://youtu.be/QErQVLB-Zjk?si=mTHBh4K8S0fD3TNaBobby Barrack techniqueshttps://sufschool.com/programs/bobbybarrackjun6https://sufschool.com/programs/bobby-barrack-frog-sc-2023

Hey guys. I'm working on a a "mini workshop" this week about fishing laydowns. This is something I see people fish very haphazardly too many times. With summer coming this is a place where you can catch isolated largemouth very consistently. Does your lake or pond have laydowns?

Last year I did a teen shootout with some teen anglers. That video is going to be live at 2pm today! Good fun. Let me know what you think about this style tournament.
