Have you tried a finesse swimbait yet? Jerkbait?

I have some less than ideal news. Last week I came down with what I thought was just a ā€œbugā€. I pushed through and fished my tournament but it got worse everyday. Turns out I either had the flu or maybe even Covid! 🄹 I went in to urgent care this morning. That ended in had x-rays and an antibiotic 5 hours later. I never filmed anything last week. I just didn’t have any energy. In some weird way I’m glad to know I actually was sick because it felt like I was ā€œun-motivatedā€ which is something I’ve never really experienced. I should be solid in a few days of rest. We have a live school this Wednesday. I think I’ll be good by then but I’ll probably still be coughing quite a bit. I want to have a few of you on the live. Anyone want to come on? Let me know.

More wraps the smaller the line. The bigger the line the less wraps! With bigger line there’s more area for friction and it just makes the knot big if it’s too many wraps

I use 30 and 50lb on baitcasters. Yo-zuri is good, power pro is ok, it really doesn’t matter. Then on spinning reels I use 10lb and no bigger than 15lb. If you use 6 or 8lb on spinning you may experience more wind knots. 10 is the happy spot for me.Ā

Monday I leave for the next Tour event on lake Eufaula. Looking forward to solving problems, building some plans and executing on opportunities.

Great job! Keep showing up. There’s little nuggets of information that happened today. Make sure to pick them up. I think it’s a good idea to rehearse what you saw and what you experienced. There’s a good chance it’ll show up the next time you’re out.Ā

Where you got bit. Where you saw beds. How they reacted to lures. The water level. The bottom hardness. The water clarity.Ā

Definitely debrief the day.Ā
