Anyone headed to the Richmond Fishing Expo January 17-19? Due to kids travel sports I can only attend this Friday.
Brian Latimer I know you always ask where I’m from on the Live shows. I’m just east of Richmond, VA between the York and James Rivers.

Good morning SUF family. How’s your local lake looking? A few days ago she still had tons of open water, today they will be ice fishing.

When you need a little patch of ice to disappear so you can get a chance at a smallie!

Spent the last day of 2024 sailing along the coast of Maine. We did catch our dinner! Hope you enjoy a little different style of fishing.

Since we were talking about new lures entering the market, I thought I would share the older ones.

Got to look thru my PaPa Bills tackle box, left with my father in Maine. He used most of these lures in the south on Lake Lanier, Lake Hartwell, and Lake Russel.

Since we are sharing books, here’s a great one to help work on those communication habits.

Let’s welcome my brother, veteran and avid fisherman Ralph Taylor to the group.
**Putting a gift membership to good use! SUF has it set up so you can purchase month, monthly or annual memberships for those family and friends who love fishing!**

Why should you sponsor me for the BFL? After serving 23 years in the Army, I retired in 2019 and often struggled to fill that void. When I’m on the water fishing, all that disappears. It’s like a switch flips—suddenly, everything feels normal again, and all the noise fades away. Bass fishing has become not only my passion but also a means of personal healing and growth. The focus, patience, and discipline it requires mirrors the values I honed during my military service. With a commitment to hard work, continuous improvement, and representing my sponsors with integrity, I’m dedicated to excelling both as an angler or a co-angler in the BFL if chosen. Partnering with Brian Latimer’s Straight Up Fishing School would be a perfect fit, as I share the same determination, resilience, and love for the sport. My drive to succeed on the water would help bring visibility to your brand, creating a meaningful, long-term relationship both on and off the water.
