Got an impromptu couple hours on the Chickahominy River yesterday. Had a couple bites, but nothing landed. Definitely need to take the time and use what Brian has taught us by marking those points and ditches so these little trips become more successful. Either way it’s always awesome when you can get on the water in December!

Good morning. Currently considering setting up my little girl, she’s 8, and to be my co-angler for local tournaments. She’s great at fishing the wacky, has her count down and twitch to be dangerous. My dilemma is she loves to catch, but the fishing part gets boring. My questions for children are:

1\\. At what age do you recommend or start?
2\\. What are great confidence baits?
3\\. Do you have a rod reel combo preference?

Thank you all and have a blessed day.

Best kept secret in the military. Of course we fish on Army ships around the world. Here’s a sample from 1999 off of Cozumel Mexico on the USAV 2034 Perryville. Go Army!

Take the time to watch Randy and Brian talk about trailers in the latest live.
I have always been a soft plastics guy, but I joined this school to open my mind with spinners, chatters, cranks. I hit the lake this morning throwing my nemesis, the Chatterbait, that everyone so loves and I can’t catch crap with. I paired it with rapala crushcity mayor. Looks beautiful and matched the environment somewhat. Tip learned in the video. Had a few hits and landed a decent one with the three reels, drop retrive. Learning the bite will take some time, esp where it feels like your hung when they hit it. At least that’s how it was today.
What’s your experience with the chatterbait? Any helpful tips?
Today new lesson: I flipped the paddle tail over, upside down, when threading on. Game changing!

Good morning team. In need of advice. I lost my trolling motor yesterday after the housing decided to blow up. So now the search for a new one begins. What’s your preference when it comes to selecting the best trolling motor for the dollar spent? I currently run a 24v, 70# on an 18’ fiberglass. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Have a bless day

Spent most the day on the lake throwing spinners, chatters, texas, drop, etc with the intention to keep wacky aside for my practice run. After a true skunk in the making, I made the switch. Guess I know my plan on Sunday. Anyone have any other suggestions?
