Am I the only one that struggles throwing a frog. Over and over it’s always the same thing. The bites are there, but I cannot set that hook. I lost more than 5 my last outing before I went back to my traditional baits; soft plastics, spinners, cranks, etc… BUT that dang frog!

I only caught the part with you two making your way out. I could not hear anything but wind.

Thank you guys for the information. I usually find myself in that stigma where you find a brand that works and it’s hard to branch out. I have been stuck on Lews and Shimano for years.

Any major differences that you noticed right away compared to the Lews Custom Speed?

When they hit the bank like that, it’s up to the fishing gods.

Quick story:

When my brother and I were kids, I helped him lose the largest bass I have ever seen personally and it was on a Mickey Mouse pole. As a kid, not knowing, I grabbed the line to pull that monster up the bank. Liked we did with Georgia cats a thousand times over. But with a bass and a few flops later, I felt that Mickey Mouse pole across my arms and I saw his tears. 35 plus years later, this is still a great story between us and he will never let me forget it.

Brian Latimer whenever I tried to order any rods or reels, I got a does not ship to my VA address. It did allow me to order tackle.

Brian made a quick trip to visit family in Maine and was invited to catch some bluefin. We located them chasing hearing about 7 miles off shore. We hooked up 3 times that morning, landed two and sold the largest to market. The fight on the #400 only lasted 15 minutes. Nothing like Wicked Tuna.

Born and raised on the Coast of Maine, within a family of lobstermen, I have had access to the many wonders of the Atlantic annually. Most times if I’m not chasing bass, I’m after strippers or blues. Definitely not picky on the SW though. What’s your SW fish?
