Is a steady retrieve the best method when fishing in heavy grass or the same method? 

I just purchased my first boat during covid.  I'm constantly trying to learn and understand my graphs and what to look for when fishing. I think I would be a great pick for the trip, because I would be a sponge learning how and why it is you fish certain areas under any knowledge given to help me be a gamechanger for myself the next time I'm behind the wheel of my boat.
