Are "dice" baits getting any traction in tournaments? They have become the thing to have among recreational anglers in Some areas. I'm curious what Pros think of them.

We have a small fishing group here (mostly bank fishing) in the Richmond, VA area and we share fishing notes. We get together monthly and have a fishing get together at one of the local spots. One of the guys recently shared his experience with using a dice bait - he caught a couple of 3 pound LM in a local urban pond. Catching them in a pretty short time has gotten everyone's attention. He used a 17 mm Hideup Coike, which retails for around $18 these parts. He was a minor star for a couple of days until someone else caught a 3.8 pounder in that same pond on a jig.
