for me, watercolor plays a small part in what I throw. Clearer water, more natural. dirtier water, contract colors. now, to make it simple on you stick with solid white, white / chartreuse, or a dark color. If you want to go down that rabbit hole, start looking at blade size, style, and combos. WOW!!

OK.. Spool size is the bigger player in spinning reels. All depends on line size you are planning on throwing. Most spools I use are 2000,2500 or 3000 size.

Christopher Bowman I do not think gear ratio in a spinning reel makes a difference. Is there a reason you think gearing is important for that? Maybe I am missing something 🤔

Kevin Skovenski I have not found it better or worse if I mix them. Normally the reason I mix is because I ran out of the other 😂.
