This experience was amazing! It would take me days to tell you everything we discussed and everything I learned. If you have been watching the last few lives, then everything you need to know if in these two photos... Here's a little hint, zoom in on the console and notice both screens. If you want me to explain.. Just ask! As for the baits, if you did not see today's live, I added a picture of the drop kickerz that we used. This technique is simple but effect.

Again, this was a trip of a lifetime for me. To have someone in the industry give me the little tips I needed and the reassurance that my own knowledge and passion was on the right track.

Give away!! Guys/Gals.. As you know I will be fishing with Brian tomorrow and Tuesday. My personal sponsors jumped on the chance to give back and send some stuff with me to give away. This bait is one of them. This is a complete custom bait that I have 3 of. We will decide how to give this stuff away while we are fishing. Be on the lookout for more opportunities while I am here. We will also be testing 2, 1of1 prototypes of 2 new baits. If you want a sneak peak let me know 😉.

Tim Dodson asked about marking waypoints so this is one of the tricks I use when I see stuff like road beds, rock plies, old ramp or foundations. If you notice in the picture I just did a quick drawing of this area because I know there is an old boat ramp right next to this ramp. The red lines show were the ramp is. When I mark it, I will place dots or marks along the edge of it and the end of it to "draw" an outline. Then I will place one in the center with a title of what it is. Plus it helps with size reference. So if I find rock pile, I do the same thing. Outline with marks then one in the center. Now, you can easily see it on your map and know how to position your boat without having to scan it. Hope that helps explain it.

Brian Barde and Tim Dodson both asked tonight about way point management. I actually keep SD cards for different lakes with all my waypoints. I run Lowrance on the console and they have the ability to to export waypoints by region. So short answer is the prep work is creating a card for each lake. Once I have done that, then I purge the unit of all waypoints. When I go to a lake I input the lake card I have... Download waypoints.. Fish, create new waypoints, end the day, export to card then purge unit. Seems like alot fo steps but it is actually quick. Longest part is creating the cards for each lake. The picture is of the cards I have in a holder plus other cards for running lanes and other stuff.

Got out on the water yesterday to avoid the shopping madness. Water temps are still hovering 58-60 here in North Texas. This LM was caught in 8ft of water on the Rapala Marvik 110. I could see them grouped up around the bottom so I would throw past them and work it down to depth. The key for me was to throw way past them so I had the distance to work the bait to depth before getting to them. Hope that helps some of y'all. If you have questions, ask!

Another Friday fun day. Fish are still moving up in the shallows during the morning here in North Texas. Blue bird skies again with morning air temps high 40s warming up to 70. Water temps 66-70. Worked on a few techniques and put a theory to the test...and it worked. Another successful trip!

Went to a new lake yesterday with a friend of mine and we were on the big girls. You know I had to wear this fish down before I boat flipped her. You know it all about how good you look these days fighting them monsters 🤣. Always blessed to be on the water.
