Michael, did you fish the NTX tourney?

I agree with Michael Lee. Temps as high as they have been give false hope since the water temp from my Saturday tourney were still 43-48 degrees.

Fished a local open tournament this weekend and let's just say it was a struggle for 50% of the teams. Only fish we caught was this brute!  this got me to thinking, we have a side pot for big bass but why do we not change that to a side pot for biggest "non bass". I think it would at least bring so humor in these open style weekend tournaments.  what are your thoughts?

Brain, We were in the same spot as you. had a 1990 ChampioN 201. skinny boat, hard to team fish and needed some updating. Went to a 2023 Blazer, purchased from a friend that is a Pro. Cons was pricing and loan for the family, but the fishability and goodies, made up for the cost of "the overhaul" on the older boat.

2 with the trailer from 1.

all tournament trails here have that requirement that it must be on when the big motor is on. I always make it a practice that I always have it one along with all my passengers.

If he is throwing a crank bait, he may not be throwing up tight to the bank or docks so pick something you can put in those tight spots he is missing. the key is to try different casting angles as well because the boater will be putting the boat at an angle for him, not you.

on my current boat, I have 2 that is use. 4 blade bravo 27p / 4 blade fury 26p. props all depend on the boat, motor, boat weight distribution.

The key is remembering the spinners or blades. Alot of A-Rigs have more the 5.
