Mike, one way I try to quickly break down a lake is figure out wind direction and where the sun comes up. Here is how I use that info, wind blows bait fish. Where there's bait fish, there are bigger fish. Sun, sun comes up and the bank across from the sun comming up with warm up first. Now, look at your map and after figuring that out, you can eliminate 50% of the lake. Then you just look at the "good" area and find places that fit your style

Good ol tire pile.

Christopher Bowman I agree with Kevin.. No braid. You have to remember that braid floats so it will affect the depth of baits.

you can use braid, but the question is missing something. What type of action bait? top water, crank, bladed jig,

I am looking for you but I have not seen you. Can you send a screen shot of it please.

for me, watercolor plays a small part in what I throw. Clearer water, more natural. dirtier water, contract colors. now, to make it simple on you stick with solid white, white / chartreuse, or a dark color. If you want to go down that rabbit hole, start looking at blade size, style, and combos. WOW!!
