You’re right. I use it as a crutch. But I’m not good enough or have enough confidence to where I can shut it off and believe I can catch fish. Maybe a few more fish in the boat will help me change my mind

My best memory is when I was 6-7 years old. We were coming home from my grandmothers lake lot. We didn’t have a boat, but went to the boat ramp that was on the way home. Dad threw a chartreuse spinner bait with a gold blade around, and hooked a 5lb’er by the dock. He let me reel it in and claim it. We mounted that fish and my nephew still has it hung up in his room. I still have that old all star rod/abu Garcia combo he used that afternoon. I joined hoping to learn to fish that I could replicate that memory with my twin girls.
