Good morning. I missed another Community Live session as my Wednesdays evenings are typically busy with kids’ martial arts and gymnastics. Will Wednesdays continue to be the standard day for Community Sessions? Also, do you plan to share the sessions within SUF? Thank you!
Join us in the SUF Roundtable now! Kevin Skovenski is live.
Under the community tab then go to roundtable!
Our fishing club has released the 2025 Tournament schedule. We are from Northern Virginia and a majority of the tournaments are on the Potomac River. This year we do have tournaments on Kerr Reservoir and Lake Gaston on the NC border. Smith Mountain Lake in southwest Virginia along with Lake Anna and Chickahominy River in central Virginia. Our club is unique with low membership ($35) and $10 tournament fees that go to support two free kid’s fishing derbies. We share how we caught fish and what structure type but not location. There is no real money to win but that doesn’t mean they are not competitive. I have been a co-angler for 3 years and I would encourage everyone to join a fishing club because you learn so much. Most clubs are in desperate need for co-anglers as I find a ride easily. Plus, I meet boaters that I get to bonus fish outside of tournaments.

It’s not a tiny boat but I got my boat issues resolved. Huge shout out to Collins Marine in Smithfield NC.
Tonight we have Four-Seven Lures on the podcast. Come join us over on our YouTube Channel at 7pm EST.

The snow is slowly melting and the forecast for next week will have the temps in the mid 40’s. Maybe I can get out and try some cold water cranking. 🎣
You can find the meeting link in the community section under “round table”
When fishing ditches, should you cast from deeper water to shallow or inverse or does it matter?
