Let’s talk about bass management in ponds and lakes. I been managing a place for the last year and we are still taking out stunted bass this year. This stringer is from this morning.
If you have to many bass in a pond then all your forage fish get eaten.
A little math for every acre of water you should be taking out about 40 lbs of bass a year. This place I am managing is nearing 20 acres so we are removing 800 lbs of bass this year. We removed 600 lbs last year.
We are also starting a bream feeding program this year as well.
Hope this helps anglers manage their bodies of water to make more quality bass.
Let’s fire up the grease !
