Just a tip not all panfish and bass spawn on sandy soil.. they prefer a hard bottom but will spawn on wood or other structures..

Just had a cool experience in Tallahassee Walmart, where I was looking for some fishing tackle and a gentleman, and his two young sons of knew who BLat was and we had a fun conversation about fishing and where we were going and what the fish were biting tomorrow it was just really cool experience.

I guess it kind of cool to be recognized as part of the positive influence BLat and SUF is have on the fishing community and kids.

When you’re out of work and need a few extra bucks to pay the bills and afford that fishing trip or a fishing tournament this is how I go after those $$$.

I hate that I missed yesterday’s live but the round table was awesome last night big crowd new faces. It’s good to see the community growing.

Got out again this evening trying to capitalize on the spring spawn. Not sure if it was the time of day or the weather (super overcast), but the fish were not bunched up on the shallows like they were just 2 days ago. I saw a couple, but the rest had clearly moved out somewhere else. I think they were hanging around 8 to 10 feet of water. That's where I got a string bite on the Texas rig that worked 2 days ago but couldn't set the hook.

Should I consider the spawn to be over? Do they move deep in the evening and come back when the sun is up? Trying to make sense of what I saw today.

Today’s catch on a 550 acre local pressured lake. I thought the wind and clouds would get my buzzbait firing, but after two hours I finally decided they had zero interest. That’s when I went another direction, changed to a weightless fluke. Boy did they want it, 15 to the boat in one hour, broke a few off and lost a few at the surface. Most epic numbers hour ever, I made the same cast for that whole hour, it was unreal. Here’s a few.

I haven’t been able to make many of the round table chats so I’ve been watching the recordings on the side. I’ll tell ya what, I need to try and make some of the lives. Such good conversations and a sense of community in there. I encourage everyone to give them a shot if they haven’t.
