Ray Brunetti and I had a clinic in using scout mode with certified tech Paul Getty’s last week. Let me tell you this was a eye opening experience. I cat believe I haven’t been using this. We spotted several bass and numerous pieces of structure I never would have seen without this. I always thought it was too hard. It’s not. It’s actually very simple. Tomorrow Ray and I will do a live at 5pm Monday the 10th talking about how why we learned. I hope to see you all in the group class.

This weekend was our last club tournament of the year. Today, I caught my largest bag of the year at 15lbs and 10oz. Yesterday, I caught no bass!

In the past, I would have been so dejected and probably would not show up the next day.

This year has been a huge confidence building season for me with realistic expectations. Some days, it ain’t happening! Sure, sometimes we could be more prepared and other times it’s just nature.

Yesterday, I found the good grass, good tide, good water clarity, birds diving after the bait. Caught stripers, catfish and white bass. No LMB!

Came back the next day, full of confidence gained this year through B.Lat’s angler development program. I completely changed my strategy and went to area that is conducive with my specialist skills. I went up the Occoquan River to bounce a crankbait off the rocks and boulders.

I am so thankful to have the wisdom to listen to B.Lat, support of the SUF family and blessed to have developed a friendship with my BFL partner, Brian Barde.

This is the actual text Barde sent to me on the day of the tournament.

“ Good luck have fun and get in the zone. You have everything you need to win it just let the ecosystem tell you how to do it.”

Barde also came down to the Potomac River BFL a day early this summer to be my boater for a club tournament. He was there when I won my first club tournament ever. Boom!

Trust the system. Crawl, walk and run. There are no shortcuts.

I'm back home in Florida. 4,635 miles driven during the month long Fall Fishing Tour. Started in Guntersville with the SUF family, and ended up fishing 7 different states. AL, NC, PA, NY, NJ, VA, & SC.

I made it home just in time for a club tournament this weekend on Okeechobee, and Kissimmee next weekend. I wasn't going to participate, but I have this promise that nobody will outwork me so it's time to continue to work and stack the experience.

Once I get settled back in, i'll put together a summary of the time I was able to spend with Brian.

Spoiler: The entire trip was worth every penny! Loads of priceless experience.

Changed it up today, and went to a local reservoir vs Lake Lanier. What a difference, I was essentially the only one out and no pressure or chaos as weekends get get on Lanier. I was able to catch a handful of fish when out for a few hours. While no big size, (12” avg size)Loved working on techniques and having success with baits I don’t have much success in like the shaky head and jig.

Do you know how to read 2D sonar? It’s still a very valuable tool.

This week I learned some things I never knew. Ray Brunetti signed up for a 3 day Angler Development trip. In 3 days we covered finding fish offshore using electronics, learning how to pattern bass on points and a full boat electronics overview with a lowrance tech.

☀️ We had wind, cold, 70 degrees and flat calm blue bird conditions all in that period and it affected the bass differently every day.

🍁fall is a good time to learn how to follow bass in different conditions. Things change fast in fall and recognizing how the bass react or DONT react is cool to watch in real time.

📝everyday we used the same lake breakdown process explained here in the app. It works everywhere all the time!

I decided to switch up lakes today and go to Old Hickory Lake. Not bigs but I had a lot of fun cutting up with my wife and I even had senior that wanted me to fish his dock.

We have a polar votex coming our way next week and the temps are getting well into the 20's - It is time to winterize the Falcon. Here is a pic of the last 2 2025 bass caught from the Falcon. It was a great season and I am ending it with 101 inches of fish on the SUF board. What a great year and I am thrilled I got to share it with all of you. THanks Again BLat for sponsoring me and supporting me with the BFL's.
