I finally got to go fishing this weekend… And I decided to try something completely new. I watched Blat catch so many on the SMH that I tried it out for myself. Second cast was a catfish… But I caught a few bass later on. Really enjoyed the technique and will use it often. It was the only thing I had any luck on in that super Clearwater. It was a weird day… Never saw so many schools of 6 to 12 inch gizzard shad around the boat… it almost looked like a school of tuna on the side imaging when they went by lol… anyway great video Blat on the SMH!

Huge shout out and thank you to Doc T. For matching the color in these, Since SPro no longer offers other than a white base. The spotted and largemouth on West Point Lake love this color with the slight yellow tint, think I will call the color West Point Sniper.

If all goes well I will have them before next Wednesday when I leave for West Point Lake for a few days. Still have an open seat Thursday and Friday if anyone wants to join.

Well folks... An end of an era has come, 21 years as a deputy sheriff. Now taking time to take care of personal business with my dad's estate and help with my in-laws. But hopefully in a month or so I will be hired by the local police department to be a school resource officer for the local highschool.

With end of the school year events and dealing with and removing a lot of toxicity in my life I haven't been able to fish for a while ... It's killing me but I know it as much as an escape it is. It will be more stressful for me to pick up and go.

All I know is God opens a door you better step through.
