All loaded up. Ready to hit lake Santa Fe or Orange Lake in the morning. I’ll let you guys know how I do.
Recently someone mentioned they were a headhunter in one of our round tables. If that was you please reach out to me thank you.
Tom was the right person for the SUF trip. Fishing was actually a little tougher than I expected. This was a classic example of bass nkt reacting to weather the way we do. It’s been low key hot. The water is in mid 50s. The daffodils are flowering and the dogwoods look Snow White. However the bass have not yet received the letter about spring. We had to actually slow down and crawl swimbait today. CRAAAAWWWWLLLL! We stayed mostly on main lake points fishing 10-20ft. The moral of this king post is remember the bass live in a insulated environment. Everything is delayed for them. They do not react at the same time or the same way that humans do to weather changes.
Looks like we’ve got those red eyes in VA!
Had another successful day on a new lake. Threw everything at them today and even reached out to Mack for some advice—he suggested working a ned rig on some points. After some trial and error and a lot of used plastic baits, I finally got three to bite on a Texas-rigged Kreature bait, dragging it slooooooowly along submerged logs near a few points.
I’m installing some new lowrance 12 pro & 9 pro on my boat is there certain way to set them up after I get them installed
Haven’t found bass yet but caught this 2lbs crappie on a crank
They don’t react the way we do… always remember that
Has anyone ever fished Pickwick? I have a ACA college tournament April 5th and 6th. Wanted to know if anyone has any cool story’s or advice on the lake.
