Started the morning with a surprise. 5lb 1oz on a white top water popper. Ended up having a productive bag for the day and didn’t throw one Jerkbait. Happy Holidays.
Nothin ‘ like breaking out the micro finesse rigs and catching some bream out the kayak!
Met a huge Snapping turtle at the pond yesterday.. no telling how old this thing is.. probably has musket balls and arrowheads stuck in it's shell. lol.
So... this is thermocline? it's in a small pond near me, not a very deep pond, I think 18' was the deepest areas..
I know this is a rookie question, but should I be throwing bait to stay above it (spinnerbait, jerkbait, top water, etc.), or to get below it.(carolina rig, texas worm, jig, etc).. Don't laugh at me, I've got a lot to learn..lol.
Another good night! Chatter bait and midnight edition spinner bait
Tossing Japanese Coike baits on a drop
Shot today on long points and humps .
Hello everyone!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying your day / weekend holiday and catching em.
I have a question-What do those who fish out their kayak do to secure your boat from being stolen?
Unfortunately today some greedy people stole my NK300 motor, NRS Vest and Ketch board out the back of my truck in less than 30 mins while I stepped inside a local business. The items were in a big Plano storage case.
Tough lesson learned today but just looking for suggestions on securing all kayak items in the back of the truck.
Tom Spoljaric saw your post about maps. I use GPS Nautical Charts for my breakdowns and research. I'll attach a few screenshots, my favorite view is the Relief chart. It shows the underwater contour really good. Hope this helps. (You can look at them for free or buy them.)
Got my bride out on the boat today. It was windy and cool with dirty water and very slow bite.
Celebrating the last day of school with some more late night shenanigans.
