With some motivation from a few classes, I decided to modify my kayak to access the shallow river areas my boat can’t reach and to participate in a few electric-only tournaments this year.
Need advice! I’m looking to take my first trip to the St. Lawrence River (also first time smallmouth fishing). It will be my wife and I spending a week up there. Any recommendations on the best location for us to take advantage of seeing the area and any guide recommendations for fishing? I’m thinking of an early summer trip. I appreciate any thoughts and advice.
Sometimes we underestimate how large of bait bass feed on. You can see this blueback is much larger than my lure. The drawing power of bigger baits is something we all need to study and consider ESPECIALLY IN HIGHLY PRESSURED FISHING AREAS. The curiousity that a large bait brings is a largemouth bass biggest kryptonite. Do you have any experience with throwing big baits?
I was hoping to find em today on Hartwell but no dice. I'll be developing a new plan tonight in hopes of a good tournament day. Unless I get a divine premonition while sleeping. The struggle is real!
