I have always been a soft plastics guy, but I joined this school to open my mind with spinners, chatters, cranks. I hit the lake this morning throwing my nemesis, the Chatterbait, that everyone so loves and I can’t catch crap with. I paired it with rapala crushcity mayor. Looks beautiful and matched the environment somewhat. Tip learned in the video. Had a few hits and landed a decent one with the three reels, drop retrive. Learning the bite will take some time, esp where it feels like your hung when they hit it. At least that’s how it was today.

Fall fishing today. They seemed to like the bladed baits today in less that 6 feet of water near drop offs. I forced a smile when my buddy caught a bigger fish. 😀
Warm water plus cold air created cool fog. I believe one of my local lakes is beginning to turnover. It was crystal clear last weekend, but now it's becoming a bit cloudy but no smell. The water temperature still seems somewhat warm, in the low to mid-50s at the surface. Fishing was challenging for me today; I only managed to catch one. It is hard for me to tell when my lake has started the turnover. Does anyone else know for sure when their lake has?

Hey y'all, I normally don't post this stuff on social media platforms. But a gut feeling told me to post this. I've worked a couple serious injury\ fatal accidents and natural causes death investigations over the last couple months... Make sure you tell your family you love them and hug them more than normal. Also men (women too but we are more stubborn) make sure you go to the doctor and take your medication like you are supposed to. Y'all (yous guys for the northern folks) drive safely. Don't just worry about how you drive; you have to worry about how others drive too. I know things are sometimes out of our control and predestined, but sometimes they can be avoidable... Too many of us are in a hurry to go no where. So buckle up, slow down, put your phones down and if you are a LEO wear your vest.
