Hello! New to the SUF community, and subscribed a couple of days ago. Looking forward to learning from BLat and others as well. I fish every weekend from my rigged out canoe with my youngest daughter who loves fishing as well. So far, watched the Laydown videos and wow, I haven't been picking them apart as well as I should. Hoping to try those techniques out this weekend.
Next week I have another live class. I'll have a more formal invite via email going out in the future. Let me know who wants to be on the live class to do a "hot seat". Let me know in the comments section here.
Have you guys ever had this issue?  I have a 13 fishing concept A2, less than a year old, and the drag doesn’t work.  The reel is engaged but I can pull the line off with no effort. Â
I'm traveling to iCast this week. Event though I didn't get to post the Sunday Q&A please still submit your questions. I'll double up when I get a moment at the show or when I get back at home.Â
Drop them here! Any topics are fair game.
Day 2 was rufffff.  Couple weather delays due to severe thunderstorms and a big 0 in my Livewell.  Tuff long day.  Couldn’t get anything to bite.  Some people still caught them though.  Bag weights were cut in half versus yesterday.  Have to learn from this one and onto the next one…
Day 1 of tournament only 9.74lbs which included a 3.75lb smallie.  A lot to learn on this big new lake for me.  But was happy with my 5 fish.  Caught them in the weeds and docks on a wacky rig.  I couldn’t get the offshore smallmouth bite going which was the popular method to getting them. Â
They don't all go deep in the summer. In every fishery there's a group that stays shallow all year long. This is the best time of year to fish for that group right now. You can use a square crankbait to catch them.Â

Last night we had 4 members in the hot seat of the SUF Live Class. There's some good info here on fishing deep grass, matted grass, docks and how to fish smaller 100-300 acre lakes from a kayak.Â
Is there anyone else interested in being in the hot seat for a live class?

Grass fishing!!!! It takes patience but it also has its rewards!
