Today was a interesting day of fishing. It rained most of the day. Most of the time you would think that would be an adverse condition for catching a lot of bass. But trust me it’s not. Today my focus was on dead in pockets that had more stable and warmer water. I was using a Texas rig Grimmlin with a 3/16 ounce sinker and 4/0 hook. my main focus was any type of horizontal wood that could be laydowns or a stump. If there was any inconsistency in the pocket, there was usually a bass on it. Most of my bites came on the fall. That’s why I use the light sinker.
🚨So I had to reschedule the live tonight mainly because I was fishing 🥴😵💫 it rained most of the day and we’re shooting a TV show so I need to get this while my guys are here. However!!!!!! I have some interesting findings from today!
🔴 SCHEDULE CHANGE - adapting is key in fishing! We need to reschedule the live for tonight (Apr 9). There is another tutorial scheduled for this week. Brian is filming for TV today and the weather is not cooperating. We're also looking at some options to turn some more lives into on water events like last week.
We appreciate all of you supporting this platform and building this community!
Let’s hear it!!! How was the fishing this past weekend? What data did you collect? What did you try? What was your experience like? What will you try on the next trip?
I have my 2023 Falcon F-20 Predator for sale if anyone is looking for a boat.
I finally got on the board. Nothing big but it’s a start.
Small Florida bass from the shore - two more days to try to catch a big one.
Just a reminder that I'll be doing a live on the water training tomorrow at 12pm EST.
Just like in all the other live sessions I'll be answering your questions and give you on the water demonstrations of how I approach a fishery this time of year. Bring your questions to the chat!!!
Three cold days of heavy rain here in Virginia. I cant wait to get on the water even in the cold forecast and high winds.
