Brian Latimer other than the weather and ice in my guides it was a good experience.  It made me realize I have ALOT to learn.  Didn’t shake my confidence, just made me realized I’m not as far along as I thought I was.  Ended up 22nd place out of 44 boats. I think only the top 7 had 5 bag limits.  Tuff day fishing, but anything you caught had that winter weight and then some.  I need to learn and understand more about tournament/boating etiquette.  On 3 separate occasions another boater would come in and fish 4-5 docks ahead of me.  Because of the wind there were less spots to fish so I kind of understand we’re going to be crowded.  But I hated watching someone catch a scoreable bass a few docks ahead of me.  I was happy with my prep, felt I was in the right areas.  Also had way more confidence fishing the muddy water because of my experience at Sinclair.  I’m going to miss the June tournament for my grandpas 100th bday. So next one for me is July 13th & 14th on a lake I’ve never fished before. Â

I need to learn how to find bigger bass.  Largemouth and Smallmouth.  I feel like on my local lakes I can catch 1.5# all day but rarely come across anything 3lb or bigger.  But I know they’re out there!
