Been a great way to not have to throw a ned around. Up shallow just barely picking it till it starts to vibrate and then letting it sit has gotten bites. I never really threw it that much for fear of being too snaggy with the trebles. Worth breaking a few off that’s for sure. It’s also been a great compliment to a jerkbait. To be quite honest in situations where I should get bit on the jerkbait, the blade bait has been shining. Just ripping it over aggressively through the school or about the middle of the water column never letting it hit the bottom, but letting it fall a few feet down has been the best way so far. Pretty remarkable. Hopefully it keeps the winter exciting lol.

Definitely gets a lil more difficult. Techniques change. Ohio here, the jerkbait always seems to keep paying dividends till the water gets hard here. Recently picked up the blade bait and am impressed with what it can do. Pond and lake hopping from the bank and I can always seem to make something happen. Waters in the 40s, high 30s here currently.

Can’t wait! Hoping Oliver has some juice on throwing those big baits for the smallies 👀

Also throwing big swimbaits in river systems with lots of current!
