Hey hey y’all! A little bit ago I held a “Roundtable Live” about nutrition, hydration & the importance of rest in regards to fishing.
Thank you for coming to chat in my live if you did!
There was some interest in the supplementation that I was recommending to help achieve and optimize these avenues.
***disclaimer***
I am not a doctor, personal trainer or nutritionist, but I do have a lot of learned and applied knowledge I have accrued through many years of personal development. Do your own research.

-magnesium/blends-
- https://a.co/d/1eKHrgS SynerMag. Great stuff. Taken before bed & with dinner it will help you relax and keep your muscles loose throughout the day. Helps with recovery. A lot of people would be surprised by the benefits of magnesium and the amount of positive benefits it will bring.
-Drink supplements/hydration multiplier-Ultimately it’s about how your body can uptake the liquid through improved osmolality & getting the electrolytes back in your body that you sweat out and use through physical activity.

- https://a.co/d/2sEkpQH You could also throw in creative monohydrate into this equation as it does help with hydration by pulling water into the muscle at a cellular level and has other multiple benefits
- https://a.co/d/8DF94HY Throw in some EAA (essential amino acids in your water/drink can help with recovery too. Give you some of the things back breaking down that muscle when your leaning on those bass all day.
- https://a.co/d/hjydMcT Naked EAAs
A good recommendation is half your body weight in pounds to in ounces of water a day. 200lbs, drink 100oz. Ultimately you’ll know if you need more or less. Varies with activity level and temperature.
If you’re salt sensitive take that into account. More dilution with more water can help that.

A sharp mind helps many things. Quicker decision making and mood boosts will always be welcomed.

Other recommendations I would have is cut
Your water at the end of your day so your not waking up to pee and disrupting your sleep.
-Going forward-
There’s a lot to this whole topic and I would be glad to help anyone interested in such. I’m here if you need me! Food and exercise I’m all ears. It’s a lifestyle.

Buzzer beater today during a game time decision, slow rolling the A-rig did the job through a deep 7ft-8ft slow stretch. She bumped it twice on the bottom and then swam up 7 ft to hit it at the boat in 38 degree water today. 19.5” Incher. Only bite today. Couldn’t get em to eat a jerk bait today uncharacteristically. My homie caught his on a jerk though. I’ll take it. Admittedly first smallie on the A-rig. Finally set it up where I wasn’t getting hung up and the heads weren’t to heavy and voila!

Deadly nedley catching tanks while shore bangin today. I had been eyeing this spot on the Google maps for a couple years. Finally did a reconnaissance hike mission today to see if I could fish this spot as this river bank is just mud and hard to fish this stretch. One bite is all it takes sometimes to be a successful afternoon session! Couldn’t be happier.

They were indeed smashing a jerkbait in 34 degree water. The brightest most direct light of the day turned them on. Sitting on the bottom in 10-11ft on a very rocky bank I could see them on the graph all day. We had a couple head butt the A-rig but that’s it. As soon as the sun started to fall and hit that rocky bank directly they switched on for about 20 mins. Definitely wasn’t easy, but the mission was accomplished. 20 some mph gusts all day on the river made it hard to even present a bait. 5 hours in and 3 fish in the last 30 mins before we had to motor back about 2 miles. This is winter fishing. Happy to have gotten out there.

Feeding the smallies the big bait in mid November is quite a treat. This tank ate a 7” glide

One rod challenge. 7” taxi shad glide. If you don’t have confidence in something, keep it in your hand. If you want to purely get better at something, just keep it in your hand. If it’s a black and blue jig just keep it in your hand. The difference with the “big baits” is just the buy in is more expensive. Same mindset. All baits are just tools. It can be more fun to use an air ratchet instead of a box end wrench.
This is a solid 3 Younder but before this I had what I propose to be a 6-7 pounder come and grab this thing and just missed the hooks. Funny how they can do that.
Tight lines! Get out there!

There’s no rules to this. Only suggestions. Hunted down a nice hybrid fishing eddies adjacent to white water on the river. The water was dirty so I chose a chatterbait. Not your typical “striped bass family” of baits. Predators just need to “see” the presentation. Sometimes vibration helps. . Wading is a form of bank fishing and can be extremely productive right now. If you’ve got hybrids around you go give em a shot. They’re heating up while the other black bass species can be difficult this time of the year. This almost 22” 4 1/2 pounder was a pb for me. Man do they fight! Especially in the current. Tight lines! 🎣
