Today, I didn’t perform as well as I had hoped, but I did give a shoutout to our Straight Up Fishing school and Brian Latimer as I walked across the stage with my little bass. Overall, it was an incredible year of learning. I managed to catch at least one or more fish in every tournament. Although I had hoped for a better year, in retrospect, it was truly amazing to fish in all these new bodies of water, facing off against 80 to 120 other anglers and ended up in 18th Place in points for the northeast division. Thank you all for supporting Ken and I. I appreciate Brian Latimer and this community.

First day of Regionals. Day two tomorrow. It was my second day on the James River. I hope to figure something more out tomorrow. Last BFL of the year for me.

It looks more glorious than it was. I struggled all day on the Potomac River. I was in areas that showed bass and bait and weed but I could only get one of them to bite. It was a long day. Thanks Brian Latimer for sponsoring me in the first annual Angler Development Program on the boater side. After all 2025 Northern Division tournaments are complete, I am sitting in 18th in AOY. Should I go to regionals on the James River?

Jig on docks in weeds that helped get 3rd place in club tournament last weekend. I totally could have boat flipped but I lost 3 bass in a tournament once and only weighed 3 bass that day so I net em.

We wrapped up a week of fishing in the Potomac River. Thanks, Ken, for showing me around and sharing your fishing expertise. Here are some pictures of a few bass and a couple of snakeheads I caught. Despite my efforts and hours spent on the river, I still haven’t figured out the best ways to catch bass on the Potomac River.

Had a fun day today fishing in our club tournament on Saratoga Lake. I have not fished there in about a year. Ended up getting third. I was junk fishing with a 3/8 Jewel Bait jig with Berkley Chigger Craw using my 7' MH Fast rod on docks, weeds, and lily pads. Used ZMan 1/2 oz Blue gill spinner bait with slim Keitech green pumpkin paddle tail for a couple of undersized ones and a couple of pickerel. I was also fishing with a senko on the docks and caught one. I caught most of them very shallow. I had two good ones on, and I horsed them too much; they may have gotten me into 2nd or 1st. It is actually nice to turn off FFS and just focus on the visual stuff.

Growth doesn't wait for perfect conditions. It happens every time you show up and cast.

17.50 and 18.75 small mouth. Trying to catch Kevin Skovenski encouraging Christopher Waters

Caught one on a full-size jig on underwater structure and the other on a finesse jig on rock on a drop-off.
