Finally, on the board for the SUF tournament. I forgot to measure and take a photo of my fish from my tournament last weekend.

I head out tomorrow morning to paractice for a tournament on my favorite lake. Two nights of camping. Practice tomorrow afternoon and Friday for a Saturday Tournament. Last year, I weighed 16 lbs (picture); I am hoping for that again this year... Fingers crossed - send me some luck!

One Awesome Evening - within the first 30 minutes of a 4-hour trip, I caught nearly a 19-pound bag of my 5 best fish!!!! That does not happen often... I was flipping and pitching around docks with weed transitions to hard bottom, which was the winning ticket. What I noticed was that big females grouped together either before or after spawning, though I'm not sure which. The smallmouth were finishing up their spawning, so these could have been pre-spawn females, but they didn't appear to be very big-bellied. Water temps are in the very low 60's

June 1st (yesterday) our water temps are only 61 degrees --- that is unusual. The average water temperature in Massachusetts lakes during the first week of June typically ranges from about 65-72°F

What a Memorial Day weekend! 🥵

Saturday: Suzuki maintenance (Oil change and lower unit oil), built two rods, sold some BardeRodz premium sleeves (way better than those old mesh ones!)

Sunday: Family car repair day - backup camera install, Apple Car Play, 4 new speakers, 2 brake jobs, 2 wheel bearings, and a few other odds and ends. Even fixed the mother-in-law's O2 sensor 😅. Then, being a Safety boat while my son rowed his scull, I managed to catch 3 pickerel, 1 bass, and a rock bass in 2 hours while keeping a watchful eye on him!

Monday the boys and I had quite the wildlife encounter... this goose nearly became our boat passenger at 40 mph! https://youtu.be/OjwxUyH7DD0

Now I'm so exhausted from this "relaxing" weekend, I went back to work to recover!

As a veteran, I am grateful for those who didn't return - their sacrifice makes weekends like this possible.

Hope everyone had a great one!
