June 1st (yesterday) our water temps are only 61 degrees --- that is unusual.Β The average water temperature in Massachusetts lakes during the first week of June typically ranges from about 65-72Β°F

I do love Rick Clunn and his deep thinking/understanding of bass fishing and life like Blat -Β https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuUseOaHSeI

What a Memorial Day weekend!Β πŸ₯΅

Saturday: Suzuki maintenance (Oil change and lower unit oil), built two rods, sold some BardeRodz premium sleeves (way better than those old mesh ones!)

Sunday: Family car repair day - backup camera install, Apple Car Play, 4 new speakers, 2 brake jobs, 2 wheel bearings, and a few other odds and ends. Even fixed the mother-in-law's O2 sensor πŸ˜…. Then, being a Safety boat while my son rowed his scull, I managed to catch 3 pickerel, 1 bass, and a rock bass in 2 hours while keeping a watchful eye on him!

Monday the boys and I had quite the wildlife encounter... this goose nearly became our boat passenger at 40 mph! https://youtu.be/OjwxUyH7DD0

Now I'm so exhausted from this "relaxing" weekend, I went back to work to recover!

As a veteran, I am grateful for those who didn't return - their sacrifice makes weekends like this possible.

Hope everyone had a great one!

Excited to represent SUF tomorrow. I plan to come in with 5 good fish. Let’s see how the day unfolds.

One of my favorite lakes that I have been to. What lake do you think it is?

FYI, as a 2025 SUF School angler development selectee, I wanted to document my BFL journey this season through video. It's my first year moving from club tournaments to the BFL. Ken and I are fishing the Northeast division of the BFL, and I'm creating this series to share everything I learn or things I can share. They are mostly me just rambling, LOL

I just posted Episode 2, where I break down my tournament gear and boat setup.

A couple of fish; more importantly, I am not bundled up for winter. Spring may have sprung. :-)
