I LOVE jig fishing, year round! There is never a bad time to jig fish. Always looking to learn.

Shoreline was not where they were at. For Smallmouth, l like to start in 8-12 with access to deeper water and shallow water. Smallmouth are hunters. I will post an old video of a smallmouth hanging out with my son and I snorkeling while we search for crawfish. Watch to the end the smallmouth is vicious in his crawfish strike and consumption. It gives some insight into the behavior of smallmouth. They are aggressive, aware and resourceful.
