Including - Boat, trailer, fishing rod & reel, tackle and other maintenance?

This may be a topic for a future session: In response to the comment regarding taking a break from fishing during this time of year, it is a great time for conducting maintenance. Is there any critical maintenance that you recommend?

Get us to think critically and strategically. Lots of variables to the fishing equation.

I hear a lot of times that you should fish the wind blown shore because it blows water and food as well churning up the shoreline. This might be a warmer weather situation. What are your thoughts?

If you can only buy one reel for cranking, should it be 6.5 to 1?

Stopped by the Florida Bass Conservation Center on my trip. Here is a picture of the Florida trophy catch annual winners. https://myfwc.com/fishing/freshwater/stocking/fbcc/

Visiting family without fishing gear and looking at this view - uggh. Hey Brian Latimer, it's early January in Central Florida, what are you throwing from the bank?

Love it! I fished for over a decade out of a Lowe FM165 with two 7-inch Lowrance FS7 fish finders and a 60HP ETEC including close shore salt water. Most people cannot afford $100k boat and a truck to tow it. I upgraded to a used fiberglass boat. The bass do not care what boat you fish out of. There is a huge market of fishermen looking to get better who may not have access to high-end bass boat. 👍 It is a good idea to flush the motor after saltwater as well.  Fishing an affordable bass boat and basic electronics fresh and salt water.

It was too cold (skim ice) for fishing here, so I took my son to the slopes today.
