I opted for three 12V batteries, influenced by Brian Latimer's insights about the Lowrance Ghost trolling motor's versatility in running 24V or 36V systems. This setup provides excellent redundancy - if one battery fails, I can disconnect it and still operate all day using the remaining 2 batteries.
