What technique do you do best and what technique do you like doing. Start there I recommend if they both are similar like smh and Texas rig both bottom contact lures. I would find my second favorite for instance frog / top water or reaction style baits that way you are at least in 2 water columns allowing you to cover more water possibly raise your chances to find them. William Hager looks like heaven to me sir. I would never put my frog down! I would just get close enough to make the cast 6 times out of 10 and pierce them lips.
