Noticing the red tail, could this be a sign of pre spawn!?

Great segment! My man was all over but everything tied all together. Definitely appreciate  him going into hook set and dispelling the needing to rip lips to catch fish. 

Great tutorial I’m definitely gonna rig and try this next time I’m out. A side from the spawn could this be a rig for the fall months when the water temperature drops? I know fish get lethargic colder water.  Would this, giving them a chance to strike the bait with the slower retrieve?
