I think color matters with water clarity. Clear water -natural colors and dark colors in stained/ muddy water.

I have been using them this summer on the Potomac River grass. Surprisingly, it does a pretty good job coming to thru the grass and don’t be afraid to use to the larger profile ones. When you snag grass just let it float back up and you will probably be free. Be ready for a strike afterwards.
