Fished a lake I only go to once a year so it was hard to get oriented. I didn’t get to  research the maps ahead of time. 

We had success in catching the bucks but no females. We needed larger fish but never located any. 

I learned that there are fish on those do nothing banks during the pre spawn. Caught them on a wacky rigged worm. 

Next week I need to be more confident and more patience.

Update-  just finished 17th out of 23 anglers in my club tournament. Caught fish on 13 fishing magic man lipless crankbait and a weightless wacky rig worm. 😀. Let’s go!

I’m fishing the warm side of Lake Anna in Virginia. They should be in spawn and pre spawn stage. Gonna use the Blat tips and catch bass.  🎣😀

Thank you for the information. I use fluorocarbon leader to braid so that gets changed often but how often would you change the braid?

What are your thoughts on instead of changing the whole braid out , you reverse the braid off your spool and use the portion that was in the spool on your leader?
