Did some research the night before with my Lowrance app to locate points, contours and depth I wanted to fish. Our area had its first rain in over 3 weeks. Start of the day was 45 degrees and the rain stayed longer than forecasted. (Questioned why I was out in the weather).
Rain stopped around 1pm and sun came out with the wind picking up. Water temperature was 46 degrees and the air temperature was rising. Caught three nice bass on a crankbait in the next two hours. Bouncing it off of rock and wood laydowns in 5 to 10 of water with deeper water nearby.
Love it when a plan comes together!

Nice work, nice fish!

I like it! The tie end looks good and the trailer keep. Looks like it could be great as it works thru the grass in the Potomac River.

Loved what you said about fishing rods. I too am rough on my equipment and will eventually break the tip of the rod or worse. I just recently broke my best cranking rod that cost me $89. It lasted 3 years and I know I got my money’s worth, problem is - they don’t make it any more. Plenty of good rods around $100 especially when you get a holiday sale. 😀

Excellent, I think I may try the Potomac River tournaments and maybe Kerr Reservoir.

Welcome Kara! You are on the right track. Bass fishing will be like a rollercoaster with plenty of highs and lows. We are all there with you trying to figure things out. We got a good one here so just stick with B.Lat and you will be on your way.

I’m weird, don’t drink coffee. However, I will not pass on any Reese’s Cup. 😀
