I usually will use something else after 6 foot water depth when using a wacky rig. What would be your cutoff depth for a wacky rig?

Good job. Way to persevere thru the weather.

Fished this weekend after one nice day and then cold the next. Z-man Gremlin strikes again with three fish today. Fished them Texas rigged in lily pads on the Potomac River. Added to the SUF tournament in Fishing Chaos. 😀🎣

I got out today and fished a local pond. Paddle tails and wacky rig brought in 9 bass. Nothing big but was fun to fish. 🎣😀

Practiced fishing the 3 inch minnowz on a jig head and caught two today. I’m getting better at it. Looking to do some more this weekend. 😀🎣

Nice

Each point felt like Nascar fishing as I had time for about 3 casts as the wind pushed me by. Luckily they would hit on first or second cast. 🐟🐟🎣

Ideal fishing

Cloudy and a steady wind but still can maintain boat control

Water temperature- 58-64 degrees

Air temp - cool in morning and high 60

Love to have clouds present all day

Favorite Type of lake is a reservoir - smaller out of the way and good variety spots.

River system in the spring when grass is emerging is a close 2nd.

Got out today on a local reservoir with 20-25 mph winds but found some bass in the protected coves. Fished a Colorado Bladed Spinnerbait and a black blue chatterbait in less than one foot of water visibility. Caught 9 good bass and my buddy caught 6. Increased my entries in the SUF spring tournament. Some were caught on the cove points when the wind cooperative.
