I do that a lot as well, I'll plan how and where I will catch them on a map and spend way too much time trying to force it. Learning when to pivot and move to something else whether it's a different technique in a spot with a lot of life around it or a different area with a confidence technique. All that comes with time and experience, I've gotten a lot better at noticing when I'm forcing something and making a change. Like Caleb said make sure your having a good time on the water, that helps keep a clear mindset and pivot faster. If you find yourself getting frustrated take a minute, eat a snack and go back to the map. You can't win them all but you can enjoy and learn from them all.

I'll have to try the nail wait, I'll cut the stands about the same and make one side a little longer than the other. It helps it walk a little better when I'm moving it real slow.
