Also thought about a roll on bed liner... But I gotta look into how much weight that will add.

I think the best thing I have seen was the kydex sheet cut and molded to the keel... That's what I plan on doing to mine when I get it back.

We are straight down the barrel of the storm. I work tonight and tomorrow night so it will be a soggy night. As far a fishing goes... I got a feeling things are going to be off for a while since the storm moving north instead of East North East. To me that's a lot of rain getting dumped on the way up and then more water flowing south again.

Stay safe y'all...

Looks like 10 lb braid to me...

It could be the drag, not lubing the knot. Frayed line. I've even had my knots come untied from my leader.

It's all a learning purpose. I've even thrown my fish back. Then went grab my board to take measure it...

Gotta say it's the lunar feed times... Could be like turkeys... The photoperiod in the spring time is what activates the need to breed in the gobblers... But they fly down at day light, establish dominance and the pecking order. Feed and look for a mate... But the flock pretty much moves and feeds in a big circle. Through out the year and season. They split off to breed and then the link back up to roost and feed in the evening... Rinse and repeat... I was told if you can't get them in the AM be where he is going in the PM. Could be the change in the current of the rivers due to the tides... You know the butterfly effect kind of thing...

Then again it could be like the answer to how many licks does it take to get the the Tootsie roll center of a Tootsie pop ... The world may never know.

Well to be perfectly honest, fishing with Brian would be an absolute honor. As I have told Brian Latimer in the past he saved my life.... I have fished off and on my whole life. And recently started back to have something to do with my son.

My wife and I had covid when ever the delta variant came through in 2020\ 2021. We were bad off. My family of 3 was totally separated for the first time ever. Son was at the in-laws, wife was in ICU, and I was home alone. It was so bad that I work in law enforcement and thought it was a career ender. Because I could not breathe. I was struggling with questions of what's next, what will happen if... etc.

Prior to COVID I had watched a couple of his videos and thought he's funny and real. That all changed one night while battling to breathe and and keep my thoughts of total despair out of my head I Googled bass fishing tip videos... Bottabing bottaboom BLat enters the room.

Watching his videos gave me hope... Gave me a goal to achieve. I started spooling and respooling my reels, tying knots, pitching jigs across the room. Then I realized that he was more than a bass fisherman. He was a real genuine person. Watching him interact with his oldest son, who was about my son's age, and other peoples kids, really impressed me. Then I realized that he did not care about fame. He was not just out to impress people. With two videos he proved this... One where he showed the inside of his vehicle, and moved a car seat. There was the typical I have a toddler and elementary school aged child mess. He was like yep. So it's messy. Get over it. Haha! Then the video of him taking a kid and his father out fishing. Their boat messed up and Brain stepped up.

Fast-forward... SUF tournaments were born. I saw my chance and dove head first. I told my wife. I will support him in what ever he does. Then I got to finally meet him at the first SUF Championship. He was just as real as he was on the videos. Fast-forward to the 2nd SUF Championship. He got my son hooked on fishing again. Even allowed us to fish the Championship even though we did not qualify in the seasonal tournaments.

He has done a lot for a lot of people. More than he knows or will ever understand. Folks say don't meet your heroes. I'm dang sure glad I did.
