Well I finally got out and about yesterday. Thanks to John Wilson I was reminded of and took it to a newish body of water... Only fished it once back in 2020 when I had zero clue what I was doing... Caught two pitching a drop shot into the timber! They are small but the first fish of 2026... I saw a bald eagle to boot! Seen more and more over the years, always pretty cool when you see them! (It's hard to tell but if you zoom in you can kind of see the white feathers on it's head. I saw it fly across the lake I'm not crazy... Well ya know.)

So with the New Year approaching I want to encourage everyone to have a safe and happy night! DON'T SHOOT GUNS IN THE AIR!!! Shoot fireworks instead. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!! There are plenty of ride shares services that will be glad to assist you... Also please please please please WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!!! No matter what vehicle you are in, if there is a seatbelt use it! I just worked a fatality last week with a side by side and the passenger was not wearing her seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle and crushed...

What up Fam! I would say I'm back! But I never went anywhere just have not been able to do much of anything since I moved to day shift at the first of the October. I haven't been able to fish much because of the other obligations and a sciatica injury. So I have been taking it easy. Caught this little guy in the Ocmulgee River off a bridge piling. BUT!!!! I FINALLY got to see the Atlantic Sturgeon that swim up river to spawn that John Wilson has talked about. They were some monsters! A passing fisherman also told me there was a 9ft sturgeon in the hole I was fishing. Had a 6 ft and 4 ft swimming right under my kayak. You can't tell from the photos but they are definitely big sturgeon.

Kevin asked about Halloween plans... I worked the school then the road... I also had to keep reminding myself I have diabetes so I can't jump out and tell little kids all of their tootsie rolls and Tootsie roll related candies are all poisonous and I need to seize them for their safety.

John Wilson there are about 3 or 4 good spots hanging out right next to the ramp! They are on the right hand side if you're looking at the ramp. Hopefully you get some redemption on the last few hours. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
